What this is...

This is a community buy/sell/trade site. Post what you need or what you want to sell/trade/give away. Invite your friends/family to join the site.

We all have stuff languishing in our homes & garages that is too good to throw away, but we don't need anymore. Well post it and see if anyone can use it. With any luck you'll be able to get rid of items that are taking up space in your home.

Going the other way many times we need something, but don't want to buy new due to cost or the fact we only need to use it for a limited time. Let people know on this site what you need and maybe you'll be able to buy one used at a good price or borrow/rent one from someone on this site.

You can also post services if you've got skills you want to share - sewing, babysitting, bike repair, computer tech support, etc..

Pictures are not required, but they are nice if you do have a digi-cam. Don't feel obliged to post pics though.

Speedplay Frogs

I have a pair of Speedplay Frog pedals which I bought to try out with my new CX bike last year. I don't like them, however. I was thinking about $100, but offers accepted. They've been used about 5 times, never off-road. I can post a picture or two if requested.

Specialized Allez For Sale

It's a 2006 56cm Allez Comp Gerolsteiner Edition - SOLD

Shimano 105 Groupo

Carbon seat stays, carbon fork with full carbon steerer and carbon seat post. Fork, stays and seat post have Zertz elastomer inserts to help kill road buzz.

Mavic Aksium Mavic Racing wheels with aero (flat) 14 ga spokes

The bike has less than 800miles on it and is in excellent condition. I bought this bike new and have babied it like crazy. Pedals, and seat bag not included with the bike.

I paid $1950.00 for this bike and I am asking $1150.00

I have no clue what shipping would cost, but if you are interested, let me know and I'll give you the cost. Unlike the wonderful world of eBay, shipping charges to you will be the shipping charges that show up on the package. No fees on my end. Bike is located in Strathmore, so local delivery in the Calgary area will work.

Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions or comments. JeromebikeATgmailDOTcom.

Bianchi Touring Bike

Sold. Enjoy Matt!

56cm lugged steel frame.

Triple Suntoure drive train: 52/34 chain rings, 32/14 cassette. Downtube shifters. Frame has eyelets for fenders and racks front and rear. Currently running dia-comp side pull brakes, can run cantis.

This bike is a little too small for me. I hate to admit it, but at 6' 2", it just doesn't fit me right.

Fenders, rack and computer included. Saddle and pedals not.

$250 OBO.

If you have questions, email me: jeromebikeATgmailDOTcom

Cheers.

Red Heritage Expedition Sea Kayak

I'm selling this Hertiage Expedition sea kayak. I bought this boat new and used it on one 4 month kayak trip to Baja Mexico. It is in great shape.

I paid $1200 for the boat and I'd like $850 for it delivered anywhere in the Calgary or Edmonton areas.

Although I'm not selling it with any dry bags or life jackets I do have some extra items I can sell at a good price if you'd like.

This boat is 18.5' long and is suitable for use on lakes and in the ocean for day trips all the way up to extended kayak expeditions. Due to its length and shape it is a fast boat that tracks straight. The sit on top design makes it very easy for beginners to learn in and is easy to reenter if you tip over. There are sponsors on either side of the cockpit that make tipping over unlikely in all, but the roughest conditions. The sit on top design is also ideal for advanced kayakers that want a boat that is very safe to use when paddling solo as it cannot sink and self-rescue is a breeze.

During our 4 month trip we paddled nearly everyday and explored some remote parts of Baja. These kayaks served us well allowing us to relax and enjoy our surroundings - not worry about our boats. During a few stormy moments we were able to get to safety without drama.

We did a lot of fishing from these boats and they do make ideal kayak fishing platforms.

Due to the length of this boat it is not suited to small rivers.

The reason for selling this boat is I would like to buy a tandem kayak.

Yellow Heritage Expedition Sea Kayak

This is exactly the same model and make of sea kayak as described above, however, this kayak has seen a lot more use than the red one. It has the same functionality and has many years of service life left in it.

One difference this kayak comes with a rudder system installed.

Because it is not as new I'd like $600 delivered anywhere in the Calgary or Edmonton areas.

If you buy both boats I'll take $100 off the total price since delivery will be simpler.

MEC Wanderer Tent

Tent has been taken...=-)

My MEC Wanderer tent has seen lots of action and performed well for me on many journeys. However, my use of it has taken its toll on the zippers and they are not working that great. All the other parts of this tent are in good to excellent shape. Since it is entirely mesh this is a very nice shelter someplace hot and buggy. With the fly on I survived 24hrs straight being trapped during a hurricane in Baja and stayed totally dry.

I'm getting rid of it because I have other tents that I can use and the cost of repairing the zippers is not worth the investment. So only take this tent off my hands if 1) you don't care about the zippers working 100% or 2) you have some skills to replace the zippers yourself.

The fly on my tent is a light blue - not gray as shown in the pic above.

Price = free as long as you are going to use this tent.

Cannondale R-800

Sold - Thanks Robert!

I'd like to sell my trusty R-800. This bike sports a full compliment of Shimano 105 parts and has about 6,000kms on it. I've changed the chain & tires recently and keep the bike well maintained. New they run $1600. I'd like $700 for it including fenders [$50] and wireless bike computer [ $120 new]. I can provide platform pedals with the bike or you can use your own clipless pedals.

This bike has served me well and is very fast, but my days of road biking are over so it isn't seeing much use. Given my vast fleet of bikes I need to get rid of the ones that aren't seeing much action.

Trekking Bars

The Trekking Bars have found a new home...=-)

I'm taking these Trekking Bars off my winter bike. Tried them, but didn't like them. They are nearly new. They offer lots of different hand positions and work with standard mtn bike controls. Lots of people love them, but I happen to be a drop bar guy!

Free to a good home.

High Capacity CF Memory Cards Wanted

If you have any high capacity [1GB+] compact flash memory cards you want to be rid of I'll take them. There are not many devices that use these any longer due to all the much smaller formats for memory cards that are being sold.

Hutchinson Tires 28 x 700c

Sold...=-)

Brand new never mounted Hutchinson slick 28mm x 700c tires. Bought them at MEC for $40+ each. Will sell both for $40. Ideal for commuting or light touring.

Banff Designs Cycling Gore-Tex Jacket

The Jacket is gone.

This Banff Designs Gore-Tex Cycling jacket is over 10 years old, but has been taken care off and is in great shape. Fits men's medium. It is still waterproof and has a fold down flap at the back for more coverage when on the bike. Compared to new jackets the only two downsides with this one are:
  1. this is an old version of Gore-Tex so it isn't as breathable as the current versions.
  2. it isn't vented as well as current designs [no pit zips] so you do get a bit sweaty in it under hard exertions. However, warm and moist is way better than soaking wet and freezing.
This jacket is free to a good home.

Northwave MTB Shoes

Shoes are gone.

These funky looking MTB shoes are free to a good home. They are size 11.5 men's, but they fit more like a 10.5 and they are fairly narrow. My feet have grown longer and wider so I can't use these any more. They are the Team Model so they are stiff and very nicely made [made in Italy]. They will work with any clipless pedal system.

Free to anyone that wants them.
